The evening promises to be an excellent networking opportunity, especially if you have a genuine interest in the Wing Chun style of Chinese Martial Arts! With other future promotions in the pipeline, we finally have a chance to give something back to our own ‘Martial Heritage’. This event will be documented exclusively by YYA Limited, so be sure to look out for the DVD... 06/01/06 - Wishing all our clients and colleagues a Happy New Year! Look out for our upcoming promotions in Timeout magazine and the GLA’s ‘China in London’ Season. We enter the Chinese Year of the Dog at the end of the month! 06/12/05 - An evening of pure joy was had by all at the ‘Mobile Content Launch Party’, organised by Martial Promotions Ltd. With the prospect of ‘House Rage’ being televised in the UK in 2006, there are bound to be many further projects to come. As the New Year looms, the Martial Artist is set to shine again with more force, more precision, more purpose... Surely, it is the ‘right’ time to shine? 13/11/05 - On Tuesday 6th December we would like to invite you to come along to our friend Otto’s Mobile Content Launch party @ Boudoir in East London. It is amazing how other Martial Artists take the time to promote themselves seriously, and Martial Promotions has been gathering the best of the best together to promote the ‘Martial Way’ A very simple idea; Martial Arts on your mobile phone! However, we’re not just talking about ‘anybody’, these practitioners have all pushed themselves to the edge of their abilities in search of the ultimate technique! Many house-hold names will be at this event, so if you are truly interested in mixing it with the best you can reserve your ticket by calling Otto Madarasz on 07904545117 or email us now at martialway@y-y-a.co.uk 04/09/05 - A massive thanks must go to Braulio Estima for demonstrating once again why he will be number one in the BJJ circles for many years to come. This guy is just awesome, and he was joined today by his close friend Roger Gracie from the Gracie Barra! Working with Braulio is always a pleasure, as you may remember when h lit up the Lei Tai during Seni 05 with his brother, Victor. Our second Seminar at the YMCA proved to be a great challenge though, as attendance figures were once again too low for our liking. However, this only meant that everyone who was there received close attention throughout the day and they all came away grateful and inspired. Look out for Braulio in the magazines and online at www.braulioestima.com 08/08/05 - Check out our new Profile section where we present Sifu Anton Van Thomas, or visit his excellent site by using The Links. Also, remember that you can participate in our ‘Braulio Estima Seminar’ on Sunday 4th September for a special reduced price of £30 per person... 26/06/05 - A huge thank-you to everyone who participated in our ‘Neil Adams Seminar’! Although the numbers were few, the Seminar began at 2pm and each section was presented by Sensei Adams with seamless precision and energy. From basic Judo stepping exercises to full-on ‘arm bar mania’! It was clear very early on that this was going to be a tough day, so it was nice to sit back during the break and take in a ‘Martial Art Showcase’ presenting the ‘Wing Chun’ style of Chinese Martial Art fame. Neil continued to dominate the mats, showing how he drilled for the Olympic Games and ultimately knew exactly what to do in different scenarios using his inherited knowledge and refined skills. Full of stories of old teachers and magical advice, everyone soon understood why this Martial Artist has received an MBE! Communication was clear and understandable, and if you couldn’t quite grasp it you would be taken through step by step until you ‘felt’ it! It was a great honour to see a master skills tactician at work and we all wish that our future Seminars will grow in popularity, as only good experiences breed good promotions... 06/06/05 - Welcome back after a short break since Seni05! As you will all be aware, on Sunday 26th June we will be presenting a unique Seminar by Neil Adams, and all Bronze Members will have the opportunity to demonstrate during the day! If you are available on the day, email us asap so we can arrange a rehearsal beforehand! We are also developing the Profile section of this site to include your information and pictures so prepare approx 100 words to promote yourself and bring it with you to a rehearsal. 27/04/05 - A big thank-you to you all for making our Seni05 experience a good one! As we predicted, it was the biggest year yet for the senishow, and by the look of the rushes you all looked superb on the Lei Tei! More pictures and clips will be available online soon, so keep tuned and be prepared for the next opportunity... 20/04/05 - All is looking good as we approach the weekend of the year! Showreels are currently being finalized and last minute printing is under way. Although all we ask of you all is to enjoy this experience, please be kind to us over the weekend and do your best to work as closely together as possible. Remember to mention our website to your friends and family and be at Stand 728 by 11am on both days. Demo times are scheduled for 12:10pm & 3pm. See you there! 12/04/05 - Our thanks must go to Laarni Benitez and all who helped make our second rehearsal as historic as our first! For the first time, we began to see the huge potential of this unique promotion. East West Studios presented an immaculate demonstration of Pencak Silat, joined by Saam Wan Wing Chun and Braulio Estima from the Gracie Barra UK, who smoothly pinned our own Otto to the mats during their ten minute round of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu! Never before have so many Martial Artists’ linked for one event such as this, and when combined with Master Anton and his Wing Chun team and Pendekar Steve Benitez himself on the Lei Tai, the weekend is looking to be extremely exciting. We see something of a ‘reptilian’ thing unwinding before our eyes... 08/04/05 - Due to the latest developments for this years demo, we will be holding the next rehearsal @ ‘East West Studios’ in Hendon. It is with great honour that we welcome Pendekar Steve Benitez to the Lei Tai at Seni 05, and to help us get to know each other he kindly offered his studio from 7-10pm on Tuesday 12th. Anyone wishing to attend this rehearsal should contact Otto, and if you haven’t heard of ‘East West Studios’, then check out their website for directions and info. You would’ve had to had your head in the sand for a while not to recognize this amazing Martial Artist as he, along with Master Anton, have dominated recent media publications... 05/04/05 - The site has had an overhaul today, so please check it out and give us some feedback. If you have still to send us your profiles and images (jpeg/gif) for presentation online and on stage, please do so as quickly as possible. This page will be updated regularly during the build up to Seni 05, so look out for your emails, and tell everyone you know about this site... “Promoting the Martial Way” @ y-y-a.co.uk! 03/04/05 - History in the making today as we all got together for our first rehearsal for Seni 05. And what a day it was! Our thanks and gratitude goes out to you all, especially Otto, Indy and his lads for helping to film and photograph this unique occasion! We hope that you all enjoyed yourselves, and we look forward to meeting again at the next rehearsal on Tuesday 12th @ The Fitness Exchange near Liverpool Street station. As you must be aware by now, again we will be presenting the Wing Chun style in a dramatic and, hopefully, innovative way. As long as we can all stick together, miracles may happen! |
